When you hear the term “spiritual health,” what do you think of? Most people believe that your spiritual health is about religion or your belief in God, but you would be mistaken if you narrowed your definition to include just that.

The spirit is defined by each of us differently, and we each determine the rules, values, and principles that guide our lives as well as the virtues we find most important. Getting in touch with your own spiritual health while nurturing and cultivating your own peace and inner joy is a crucial step for anyone interested in true wellness.

Your spirit’s health influences everything in your life. Whether you are facing challenges at work, with family, in your relationships, or with your physical health, having a healthy spirit will help you cope with life’s stressors. A healthy spirit makes you more resilient to the ups and downs of life

To remain whole and balanced, every aspect of you must be nurtured. To start the process of nurturing your spiritual health, you need to start asking yourself some tough questions.

  •     What makes you feel complete? What makes you feel connected to the world?
  •     When do you feel connected?
  •     Where do you draw your inner strength from?
  •     When do you feel like your whole self?
  •     What gives you inner peace?

When you reflect and ask yourself these questions, internalize your answers and get to know them. These will help you move forward in your healing.
